I am not against regulation, only that we’d do better to understand the system being regulated to mitigate unintended consequences. The last chapter posits that things which could change info ecosystems should be treated like drugs, and tested before release to avoid harms. tinyurl.com/38y7989d

I mean if working aged people just managed it, we’d have to deal with 14-15 hectares a piece. That’s about 30 acres. That’s a hobby farm of clearing. Forget how much is in absolute wilderness the likes people die in and grizzlies live, far from where most people live.

I don’t recall ever being kept inside for a wildfire in Ontario as a kid; and nor much talk of them happening, beyond what was normal. In the past 16 years, the storms where I live have also become more violent and frequent too - that coming from someone who grew up in a tornado-prone area.
