The “thing to do” in the 80s/90s as a suburban kid was to go to Downtown or Uptown. It’s in large part why I still go to events in those places. So now you’re discouraging young folks from downtown so they…stop going downtown to spend money as they age? Great strategy.

I just checked the schedule. The Gold Line Sunday schedule into St Paul starts at 4:54am and runs until 11:24pm, roughly every 15 minutes. Meanwhile, I live 3.5 miles south of DT Mpls, and my local route starts at 5:31am, stops at 11:29pm and runs every 30 minutes. Gold Line has to be running empty?

As a resident of S Mpls, I was enraged when my Woodbury-living co-worker told me the Gold line ran every 10 minutes for her. I can’t get “every 10 minutes” with the 94 during rush hour. The bus that connects me either to Uptown or the Blue Line goes 2x/hour.
