One of my favorite things when I cruise is having garlic fried rice and beef tapa for breakfast every day. I am truly sad if it doesn’t show up on some ships’ buffets. Thankfully, that’s not a problem this cruise.

Had a great day in Victoria (BC) today. 22,393 steps today. Walked to and through Beacon Hill Park, visited the Children's Farm in the park, shopped downtown, had a fantastic lunch at Shuck Taylor's, and enjoyed a ride on the cute little water taxis on the way back to the ship. #victoria #canada 🇨🇦

We don't leave until after midnight, so many of the bars onboard are closed (along with ships and casino of course), so my favorite, O'Malley's, won't be open until after we leave Victoria tomorrow. O'Malley's has a great cocktail menu, so that's unfortunate. 😕 #vancouver #canada #StarPrincess

Received very suspicious looking fraud alert via email and text for a credit union Visa that is rarely used (and hasn't been sued at all this year). Called the card CS number, and lo and behold, it was a real alert. Guessing the number came from an online merchant breach in 2024.

Our hotel this weekend is right on the harbor. In 1951, this site was the Haas Coal & Dock Co. My great grandfather was a truck driver for them, and he was leaving with a load of sand for Nash (the car company) when his truck slid backwards down a steep incline and into the harbor where he drowned.

I’m back in Kenosha for my 40th high school reunion (Bradford Class of ‘86). Had a fun time at last night’s bar crawl downtown, and this afternoon we were able to wander around the school and see how things have changed.
