Welcome back to Lineland Road, Return Pipe. <3 Special thanks to Luma48 for working on various pipe models, UVs, and the Norite model importer/exporter, and to Peech for ripping the Return Pipe model from level data. We can finally put custom pipes anywhere in the game

Super Paper Mario: An image of Mario standing in 3D near the right side of the first room of the first level of the game. The scenery and camera angle are nearly identical to the quoted post's image, but with much higher resolution & lots of minor details that were changed from the game's prerelease builds. At the back of the room sits a small Return Pipe object, which was completely removed from the final version of the game, but has been restored by ripping the model from the level data, modifying it, then exporting it to a completely different proprietary model format, and creating a modding infrastructure to place custom pipes as objects in any map.

here's a demo of Paper Mario with peer-to-peer networking! how? by writing a separate application that talks to the emulator (or your favourite flashcart) over the GDB remote serial protocol. the game makes an RPC call (e.g. "move me to this xyz"), and it is broadcast to all peers over WebRTC 🤯
