Now that we're making box skirts instead of circle skirts, I can work on skirt designs that would have been really difficult to make work on a circle, like this forest glade design! #art #original

Mock-up of a Maya Kern Pocket Dimension skirt featuring a moody, glowing forest scene in shades of olive green and black. Tall silhouetted trees surround a softly lit forest floor dotted with tiny glowing lights. The image shows a model wearing the skirt alongside front and back views of the design. A note states that the mock-up may differ from the final product.

Omw back to spooky school 📚🧡 #art #cats

A warm drawing of a black cat wearing a witch hat and dressed in a coat and patchwork scarf. They sit atop an old-fashioned suitcase and hold a book and wand, with a stack of books beside them and a broom leaning against the case. Sunflowers and a signpost with a wagon symbol on it frame the background as they watch for their ride back to school.

A sketch for a new skirt design, titled Hunger. #WIP #art #original

A mock-up of Maya modeling a pleated midi skirt with a deep red background and dramatic black, tentacle-like shapes filled with eyes and toothy details. Beside the mock-up is a close-up of the eerie red-and-black pattern, with an inset showing an alternate lighter colorway. Text notes that the mock-up may differ from the final product.

Hi, I like Kingdoms of the Dump an unreasonable amount.

Cerulean, a blue wizard holding a bubble wand. He is looking at a little hermit crab who has a soda can for a shell.

Dustin Binsley, a literal trash can knight, is holding hands with Bluebin, a recycle bin wearing a hat and red cape. The latter is embarrassed that his hand is being held (read: he thinks Dustin is being cute and he cannot take it, omg why is he so cute?)

it would be helpful to mention japanese labor laws re: layoffs as a factor in these types of stories

Quiet Restructuring vs. U.S.-Style Layoffs

In Japan, U.S.-style sudden mass layoffs are rare by law and custom. Instead, firms practice a "quiet change". They curb hiring, redeploy staff internally, and expand early-retirement schemes. For example, Tokyo Shoko Research reports that 46 listed companies in FY2025 offered early retirement to over 20,000 workers. Notably, many announcements emphasized retraining and redeployment over firing. A consultant's study notes that Japanese companies are focusing on "eliminating redundant tasks" to boost productivity, rather than simply cutting headcount.

What, if any, additional considerations apply if large numbers of dismissals (redundancies) are planned? How many employees need to be affected for the additional considerations to apply?
-

In cases of layoffs, courts tend to determine the validity of the dismissal by comprehensively considering the specific circumstances related to the following four elements (Tokyo District Court Decision, January 21, 2000; Osaka High Court Judgment, March 24, 2016, etc.).Since restructuring dismissals are dismissals based on the employer’s circumstances, stricter standards are applied in determining their validity than for dismissals attributable to the employee’s fault. These standards apply regardless of the number of employees targeted for dismissal.

(i) Necessity of Personnel Reduction: The implementation of personnel reduction must be based on sufficient necessity arising from corporate management issues such as recession, decline, or poor business performance, or be recognised as an unavoidable measure.

(ii) Efforts to Avoid Dismissal (Necessity of Selecting Layoffs as a Means of Workforce Reduction) : Measures to avoid layoffs must have been implemented, such as reducing expenses (including cutting overtime pay by stopping overtime work), reducing temporary workers, reducing or eliminating executive compensation and employee bonuses, not renewing fixed-term contracts, halting new hires, suspending pay raises, reassigning employees, or offering voluntary retirement programs.

(iii) Rationality of Selection: Objective and reasonable criteria must be established for selecting employees subject to dismissal, and these criteria must be applied fairly.

(iv) Fairness of the termination process: Conducting labour-management negotiations, individual interviews, and other procedures to provide explanations, disclose information, and engage in consultation with workers.

They're actually really good. A little lettuce, tomato, pickles, a portobello mushroom, slice of Swiss cheese. Excellent."

Some The Holy Gosh Darn fanarts for the fashion art meme ask. Because I like to put Cassiel and Death in situations.

Cassiel is in a dog kigurumi suit.

DEATH: Oh my God, you're so adorable, Cass.

CASS: Future Halloween costume, I guess?

Continuation of the Kigurumi Cass art. Death dares her to wear it for a day and pretend this is normal. So the two go shopping together.

While she is still dressed in it, she races her shopping cart with Death in it as they buy junk food.

Dave, a Holy Spirit, and his buddy, Metatron notices. The latter is happy Cass and Death are together, but worried the latter is enabling Cass with his weirdness.

Drunk Death in an ugly Christmas sweater and spiked eggnog... which Cass takes away because he had too many.
