That's a fair point! It would ultimately be simpler to do that anyway, I think. Easy enough to have someone else save Alphinaud.

He WAS a tyrant and a he ABSOLUTELY deserves every stink eye the WoL and everyone else gives him from now into eternity. He does not deserve to be forgiven of his many, many, sins and put back in charge of a place he subjugated.

K'rina Sato @kytrin.bsky.social · 18h

I don't mind him surviving. I don't mind him acknowledging that he was awful and committed a lot of terrible atrocities in the name of the Empire. I don't even mind him being an adoptive father to orphans HE created (though that's pretty fucked up). What I mind is sweeping the rest under the rug.

I agree with everything you've said. I haven't yet decided how I'm going to handle the Sorrows of Werlyt in my lore, but Gaius being de-villainized and put back in charge of the place will probably not be part of it.

"By the Twelve, how much could this city have changed since I left?" "What happened to Mr. I Am the Sea?" _________________ #gposers | #gpose | #NVgpose

With Y'shtola, Tataru, and Thancred (from left to right), the scene shows Y'shtola's arrival to Limsa Lominsa. Thancred references a map and a compass in confusion with the ports no longer reflecting his memories as a youth in the city. While Tataru admonishes him, Y'shtola looks towards the city with eager curiosity.

Thancred starts drawing and painting as part of his therapy to help him express his feelings when he can't articulate them. He enjoys it so much it becomes a hobby that he gets to be very good at, and every painting in the house is done by him. A fact that K'rina and Ardbert are ABSURDLY proud of.

Besides, it gives her a chance to be doted on by her husbands and snuggle up to them. She's not about to pass that up!

K'rina Sato @kytrin.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

K'rina is actually pretty good when she's sick. She spent a lot of time as a child suffering fevers and other problems from her out of control visions taking a toll on her physically, so she knows the drill and knows that the more she behaves now the sooner she'll feel better.

130

K'rina Sato @kytrin.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

The people she's helping/being friendly with know that it's not directed at them, which makes them feel very safe around her, but everyone else gets a chill down their spine. They know she's dangerous and she's exactly one wrong move away from proving it.

010

K'rina Sato @kytrin.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I consider K'rina to be generally likable. She's friendly and kind to most people and generally goes out of her way to help them. However, she can also be intimidating as hell. She's large and powerfully built for a miqo'te and has an aura of danger around her, which can scare people.

Zenos fundamentally misunderstands her. He assumes that because she enjoys fighting and pushing herself that she's like him. She's not. She never was. As difficult as it would be, she could lay down her weapons tomorrow and build a fulfilling life without ever fighting again if she had to.

No. K'rina loves the thrill of battle well enough, that spike of adrenaline is a thrill she can't shake, but she can get that with a good spar. She doesn't need a fight to the death. She doesn't need the thrill of battle too feel something. She gets what she needs through her connections to others.

ffxiv: themis asks azem about the familiar he met. what a cute pet project, right? azem usually doesn't do things like this. he wings it. he wings it a lot.

also, he's actually a very alert dude. and he can teleport across huge distances. it's part of his job.

Her logic is that either her efforts work and she creates an alternate timeline where they stop the Final Days, or they don't and she's given K'rina the tools she needs to handle it (and everything else) in the future. Either way, they ultimately win.

Ooooo... I have mine there in Elpis getting it all straight from K'rina directly. She listens to that story and basically goes "Aight... bet." She knows the storms coming so she's gonna go all out to find a way to fix it. She's also going to help K'rina as much as she possibly can.

K'rina was born in Doma! She's had... quite a journey to get from Doma to Eorzea.

040

K'rina Sato @kytrin.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

K'rina's a pretty good blend of both her parents, but she definitely takes after her father more. She got her laid back energy and long fuse on her temper from him, which can be very amusing at times as it tends to make people forget she's also got her mama's temper when it finally explodes.

Yes! Some of them, at least. I haven't fully fleshed out all of K'rina's grandparents (she had several and many of them have died), but she's inherited her katana from one of her grandmothers, and one of her grandmothers is still alive and much beloved by K'rina and her family.

For Healer... I don't know, White Mage is my first thought, but I suck at healing in general and haven't seriously touched it in years, so I'm not sure if one of the others would be a better fit or not.

For DPS, K'rina will mainly run samurai with periodic switches into dancer if ranged is needed. She grew up learning samurai, and picked up dancing in Thavnair as a teenager. For Tank, probably warrior? The idea of her with a giant axe amuses me, but as I struggle with tanking I'm not committed.

Ardbert and Thancred enjoy the same perks with each other as well. It's LESS pronounced between them prior to the rejoining as Ardbert only has 1/14th of the soul vs. K'rina's 8, but it's still more than enough to nudge them in the right direction.

000

K'rina Sato @kytrin.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

K'rina and Ardbert are similar to her and Thancred. They also have a soulmate bond, being that they're two parts of the same soul, though after rejoining it's very active and not at all the passive thing she has with Thancred. This opens more avenues for them, but doesn't change the overall dynamic.

100

K'rina Sato @kytrin.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

They are also literal soulmates due to a part of their souls having been swapped with each other in ancient times. This created a bond that allows them to subconsciously understand each other in ways they can't with anyone else... which also made them closer faster and fueled their desire.

K'rina Sato @kytrin.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

K'rina and Thancred are a, somewhat, slow-burn friends to lovers with a mild (10 year) age gap. Thancred fell hard and fell first, but it took a full year before he and K'rina came together and another year and a half before she could TELL him that. Though she was fully ride or die from the get go.

That one 10 second scene in Fantasia during the first piece where this red thing that looks sort of like a tooth appears and waddles around. For reasons beyond both me and my dad that REALLY freaked me out. Night on Bald Mountain also scared the piss out of me...
