A rare trope in games that i like when done well is when the Game Over screen gets subverted by the narrative. MGS2 does it at one point to trip you out. And my fav, in GoW Kratos gets killed, you see the game over screen, but then his opponent says "we're not done yet" and revives him

Set aside some time to put into yourself. Learn a skill, practice a hobby, accomplish a goal, etc. Not with the intent of making money, but enriching your own life. They help build a sense of self-worth. Something you won't get if you give all your time away to others or social media

Created grid based variant of my inventory. Here the UI for both the list and grid versions are tied to the same inventory. For now i have the server driving the whole logic. I might move some of the grid logic to the client side. But i'm worried about "Oops! All edge cases" hapenning later 😆

Clever idea i had for handling checking item data for stacking. In the item definition class, i made ot so you can set an optional Stacking Rule in the item definition, that you can script via blueprint.

Once I got item stacking working the way I wanted to, I decided to try actually dropping items and having another player pick them up. It worked very cleanly! I got most of the messy details abstracted away, so I can easily build on top of this 😄

How my dynamic items replicate their data can get messy, so i made a debug tool that can track what items exist on the server, what actor manages them, and which clients they are replicating to. Having a visual for this is already helping me think through tricky problems
