Firefox is now the last major browser that still supports uBlock Origin
Firefox says it will keep supporting uBlock Origin even as Microsoft Edge and other Chromium browsers phase it out under Manifest V3.

This push for age-verification and VPN bans is driven by social media company lobby groups. The goal is to prevent people from hiding their online activity and then selling that behavioral data. Buying something online without being algorithmically overpriced is the end goal, not tracking your pr0n

I wouldn't say I'm massively into phones or anything but I sketched this out of frustration bc why are there no modern phones with these features, it would be so perfect and I'm mad the only ones are old and slow
a sketch of a smartphone with tactile buttons for home/window/back, headphone jack, no AI BS, sim card thingy you can open with your nail, camera that doesn't cover the damn screen, and a 5 inch/127mm screen which is a reasonable size

having people to talk about being on the same page helps too, MMOs have been tackling how to get players on different levels to play together for years, nothing is as good as a new server launch, when it's impossible to not be on the same page

I had a thought, it's hard to market new games, new IP, sys reqs; In the moment, Steam sales seemed like a genius solution to me, just ship more "known good" copies. Then games-as-service happened, sell sameold games forever! I guess new games have less reviews, so it's easier to depict em as perfect

Some tabs are "i should look that up after this video (never gets back to it)", it cuts out the sticky notes. Most are things that seem exciting in the moment, but I can't tell if they're a waste of time, so they get to settle for a few days. (A lot of "news" articles won't matter in a week)

Yay Romania raaah 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🦅🫔🦅 (Iirc Dacia initially got a licence to build Renaults from the French government because our communist leader didn't believe in corporations. They created their own designs later on. Only Dusters and Bigsters are still built here)

Romanians are tech illiterate, the internet starts and ends at facebook and tiktok. The rest of the balkans draw us as glue sniffers. For the non-internet people, the candidate repeated "crystal-healing"-tier lines from the old Pravda/Scânteia newspaper. Also, lots of apathy. Source: I live here

While this comparison is actually too *generous* to Facebook (see my reply for why), even as presented here is appalling how clearly our legal system applies a double standard to corporations and billionaires vs. progressive activists fighting for justice.

Aaron Swartz is often incorrectly remembered for "illegally downloading JSTOR papers", but all he did was use a university network that was INTENTIONALLY freely accessible. Furthermore, he did not distribute the papers, nor is there evidence that he ever intended to. bsky.app/profile/chim...
