Next game... - Silent Hill: Townfall? - Ace Combat 8? - Meditate until Final Fantasy Resonance comes out?

Every time I open The Witcher 3 Remastered to try the new patch or fiddle with the graphics settings, I get dangerously close to replaying the whole thing.

In an effort to force myself to replay all of Kingdom Hearts before IV, Kotaku is launching Guiding Key, a year-long book club going through every Kingdom Hearts game. Join me! It'll be fun, I swear. If you're a critic or dev who wants to chat about a specific game for the series, get in touch!

Kingdom Hearts IV is around a year away, so what if we all played through the series again?

This sucks for many reasons. But I think it's worth emphasizing how selfish and duplicitous it is to go work with a public-facing, community-focused media org like MinnMax without disclosing this part of your past to them. (MinnMax confirmed to me they were not told.) Please support them if you can

Years ago, two content creators at PAX trusted me to shield them from a creepy male follower who was stalking them around the floor. It was eye-opening in the worst way, and the least I can do. I'd like to only associate with men who are willing to do, and recognize the need for, the same thing.

Square Enix's recent media blitz for Final Fantasy VII Revelation shared no small number of new details about the trilogy's finale. There's a lot to parse through, so @quinton.bsky.social has assembled what we know so far in the first of our two-part checkpoint:

Hit a point in Control Resonant this weekend that propels this to Alan Wake 2 levels for me. Utterly incredible stuff that I struggle to describe because the imagery and horror and the way it makes me feel aren’t anything I’ve precisely seen or felt before. Recursions and iterations.

I made this and it's amazing if you use a DualSense or Edge on PC. Doesn't fix the brutal battery life, but the wireless connection, stability (and even polling rate!) is so much better, plus you get full haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in supported titles. www.tomshardware.com/peripherals/...

Homebrew PlayStation DualSense controller adapter for PC can be built for just $20 with a Raspberry Pi Pico — wireless dongle delivers adaptive triggers and haptic feedback to gamers

Windows Bluetooth can’t carry the DualSense’s full data stream, so without the new DS5Dongle you miss several of its cool features.

Does Fire Emblem's story branch out beyond gladiator battles? Genuinely asking -- I don't want to read too much, but I would love if that's only part of the story and we're on grand battlefields fighting gods eventually.
