gsd is so amazing, thanks to @brian.dev for recommending it. I decided to make a website as my first run. Ever miss the old freshmeat.net? I made one but for the @cncf.io ecosystem. It's got vim navigation too (of course). github.com/glittercowbo... castrojo.github.io/firehose/

You must use LACT, adrenaline applies only to that one single boot and is lost if you reboot.

And it's why despite Flatpak's own maintainers upstream considering their repository to be hostile, they keep doing it. You can safely remove it completely from your system and lose nothing of value.

That's why OBS can threaten to sue them for copyright violation and they keep doing it, it's why new users are presented apps that have completely broken or missing functionality by default that have preference over all other apps, and they keep doing it

The point of them is for a few people volunteering at the Fedora project to have a place to force their ideology on everyone else, functionality, legality, or use case be damned.

Video should not be low quality with RCS, that sounds like Apple doing Apple things and intentionally harming interoperability.

The only limit is your imagination, I'm a software engineer and I do my day job on cloud native images. If you're between a basic and advanced user then you might have issues because you're used to doing things in a way only 3% of the computing world would actually put up with.

KDE and GNOME, each lightly themed. You can customize them however you like. AI is a complicated thing, but a short answer would be I think it's a great tool to speed up a developer's workflow but not a tool that can replace even a junior developer. No comment on AI art.

Room setup works fine here, though I'm using a Valve Index. Reprojection works in the Nvidia driver but amdgpu still has a fix to implement to have it fully working in async. I'm hoping when Deckard materializes this is all fixed.

You can expect better performance compared to mint due to how old all of mint packages are.

It depends on the game, some are faster and some are slower, with most being about the same.

Your GPU is fully supported by the open driver which is included in the image in an already installed state, you should be totally fine.

Nevermind, make that ~14 active projects that your witch hunt covers, which you'll happily disparage here while contributing nothing of value to the wider open source community. Why exactly should anyone care about your opinion?
010
Kyle Gospodnetich @kylegospodneti.ch · 25/10/2025
So now not only are you not contributing anything, you have two distros that your witch hunt has led you to hate. Can't wait to see what the third one is.
000
Kyle Gospodnetich @kylegospodneti.ch · 25/10/2025
The business perspective is also completely irrelevant, the Linux desktop does not make money.
010
Kyle Gospodnetich @kylegospodneti.ch · 25/10/2025
This is not our focus, so let me be clear that if this is what you're looking for it's not here for you.
010
Kyle Gospodnetich @kylegospodneti.ch · 25/10/2025
And this isn't adding AI to an OS, not even remotely relevant.
100
Kyle Gospodnetich @kylegospodneti.ch · 24/10/2025
And there's the worthless witch hunting again. How do I prove I'm not, do you want to hold me over a fire and if I burn to death I wasn't using AI?

Kyle Gospodnetich @kylegospodneti.ch · 24/10/2025

Contribute something instead of telling people how you think they should contribute.

Kyle Gospodnetich @kylegospodneti.ch · 24/10/2025
Long haul you're going to guarantee the continued irrelevance of the Linux desktop because you decided a witch hunt was the right course of action.

Yes, we (the 3% of users actually bothering to leave Windows) should throw away commits and contributors irrelevant of quality or nuance.

That's actually functioning as intended by modern Wayland standards, we work around it with a third party library that emulates a real input device from stream's xtest requests.

I briefly mention Framework in this, there's a good Gardiner Bryant vid that dives into that aspect of it. I worry that the result of stuff like this is that Linux will start to feel less like a big tent. youtu.be/gOhOT_mb7zc?...

With a bit of tinkering I have been able to get winapps to work on my #bazzite box. That's a little containerized windows VM running full-bore MS Office 365 as more or less a native app on my GNOME desktop. The Year of the #Linux desktop continues!

Containers should be able to solve 95% of use cases, with layered RPMs solving another 4%. I'm a software engineer by trade and do all of my work in containers, the distro doesn't matter.

Some of the last reasons to stay on Windows have been gaming related. Both the time from installation to in-game and gaming performance on Bazzite are now actually better than Windows on many games, and living room usability is more seamless too.
