I think the fact that it's wireless so it has to have a battery in it helps weigh it down and as a result feels a lot better than the hollow feeling drone or Mayflash entry level sticks

Replacing the pcb with a GP2040 board always an option. Mayflash adapters are generally cheaper than brooks tho and have worked fine when I've used them. Magic-S series is what you'd be looking for. The 8bitdo sticks are nice though, of the cheap entry level sticks I prefer it to the qanba drone tbh

Pompeii is a UNESCO world heritage site not because it was remarkable in its prime, but because it survived to our era untouched: one moment, preserved for all time. But future generations won't know what OUR world was like unless we do the same. This is why we MUST bury Toronto with a volcano

A few of the pictures in this album will need to replaced with fixed scans, but here are the film pictures I took at UMAD 2026. @umad.ca All in all, surprised and happy with how a lot of these turned out. I was nervous given the lighting but see for yourself. www.flickr.com/photos/20168...

While I'm bad at letting go, I do know I can trust Dio, whatgoat, Yaer, Bagels, Molli, and so many more of the team with the keys. I might still get my fingers on them but they're proving themselves even more every year.

2 years I took a huge step back from running UMAD. This year though I was much more involved but still trying to limit myself. I'm bad at limiting myself. That being said the sheer number of people doing stuff made it way easier than any other UMAD to run.

Gotta say it was insanely ironic for the 2XKO news dropping THE WEEKEND of a tournament hosted in a church. Turns out we were at a funeral??? Hugest of thanks to Fishstix for the amazing support in spite everything, and thanks to Rick for connecting us in the first place.

We managed to beat BOZxUMAD 2023 on attendance which is kind of wild, that was SF6 launch year and we had Smash. I guess word of mouth, a tour with dev support, and 3 new games can do that though. Here's to hopefully even more tours in the future!

kyleatgames🐙 @kyleatgames.bigtournament.golf · 26/08/2026

The church remains goated on vibes. We were worried that the lack of byob/bar all weekend (out of our control, new regulations) would dampen things but it was still peak in there all weekend. Sad to say we're outgrowing the space next year most likely though.

I never did post a UMAD recap huh. Some folks might have seen me limping all weekend. I have an extremely inflamed/sprained toe on my left foot, so walking was kind of torture but we soldiered on. UMAD was great this weekend. Easily our most international event so far.

I helped them resolve the issue, there was a windows update that changed how mics/audio inputs work - they automatically apply "audio clarity" filters to your inputs. If you don't turn it off it turns audio coming from mixers into a complete mess. Unfortunately didn't catch it before bots though.

During the staff raffle after CB they had a box of mugs, it was one of the things that went fastest after the big items. Rick was like "Why is everyone taking mugs?" and in my head I was like "You got a room full of late 20s to mid 40s desk job workers what do you think they're gonna take, a hat?"
