The day has come and we finally got offered an AI generated comic. Declined the offer of course, as we prefer natural stupidity any day!

Had a Mythbusters zoom call today, and two of the three participants were in the forest. No myth, Latvians are obsessed with mushrooms.

Not a retailer, but our national newspapers reported that countries have been asked not to enforce the legislation for now, + raised serious doubts about the ability of most to do so in the first place. This English write-up seems fairly similar to those reports brusselssignal.eu/2026/08/comm...

Commission tells member states to ignore its own new packaging rules

The regulation was negotiated under the 2019-2024 European Parliament, where a Green Deal-supporting majority held sway, and was adopted on December 19, 2024.

While being unable to send anything to our EU neighbours thanks to the marvelous new packaging rules, we’ll start a petition to put a dead carrier pigeon on the new euro banknotes.

Another day, another cancelled wholesale order. Thank you EU! Anyone just ignoring the new ridiculous packaging rules and keeps sending stuff? Would love to hear how this is going.

kuš! @kushkomikss.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Don't send us aggressive messages why we don't ship to your country, better write to the EU parliament and sign the petition. Sigh.

If you can, I'd recommend a comment on the official EU policy page. You make sure they'll read it and it is usually more effective than change org campaigns. ec.europa.eu/info/law/bet...
