My lunch cost me $2.65. It’s fried catfish in Indian sesame oil with flour, cumin, coriander powder, chili powder, and turmeric powder. We’re lucky to have a Giant supermarket that has amazing clearance on seafood. I stock up when I can.

Had a dream last night of me asking my mom to come stay with us during the Christmas holidays since my oldest will be home for winter break. I also had another dream of my parents and I wading in water. Very interesting dreams for sure. I woke up at 6am feeling sad but hopeful that they visit me.

I read IT in 6th grade and I created my very own Losers Club with my friends. It’s one of my favorite books. When IT came out on TV, I was just enamored with Tim Curry’s portrayal of Pennywise. Worst witch is also another movie I love. He will always be a huge part of my childhood ♥️

I recently took the Stitch Meditation course offered by Liz Kettle. As a Reiki practitioner and crafter, I was drawn to this meditation to help with the stresses of life and also grief / trauma. I’m hoping to teach this type of meditation to others. A lot of the fabric was hand dyed by me.

It’s been 4 years since the car accident. I consider this day, the day they both died since we never spoke to my dad ever again. I hope they like my offerings of the flowers that grew in my garden and payasam. The gift they left was my sister as we are each other’s strength and we come from them.

I encourage mothers to take their older/ teenage daughters to go see the new Supergirl movie. My teenage girls loved it and it’s just a wonderful movie about rising above your grief and pain and helping someone else and showing empathy and sympathy to others. Don’t listen to the stupid reviews.

We saw Supergirl last night and I loved it. I loved the comic it was based on and I love where we meet her in the movie and why she’s damaged parts. That part struck close to home having lost my own parents in tragic ways. Milly Alcock did a great job showing that pain and anguish.
