Hey @jimsalter.bsky.social regarding email hosting, I can't remember that Stalwart was ever mentioned on 2.5 Admins. For those who want to self-host definitely an interesting alternative. Just started playing with it and hope to replace my stone old qmail setup with it mid-term. stalw.art

I’ve spent the last 9+ months using AI coding tools heavily and I have thoughts: • The harness is becoming more important than the model • Agents are mostly code-writing loops with tools • Code might be becoming the new assembler www.dajobe.org/blog/2026/03...

My ICQ UIN is 7231680. That number is burned into my consciousness. I inadvertently learned that you could see private conversations in public chat rooms when using Telnet instead of a browser on GeoCities. I can tell you the difference in audible dial-up handshakes between 1200, 2400, 14.4 kbps modems. I needed a edu email address to join Facebook after my university was admitted. We were here at the beginning. We made social media. You wouldn't be in my Top 8. I have usernames older than you.

Also wanting your own idea to "become a standard" often skips the hard part. In a proper standards process, others tear my ideas apart. It can be painful, but that friction is what makes the standard better.

I had to check if this was for real, but he actually posted it and even defends it, saying anyone who disagrees just doesn’t get it. QLever codebase is ~ 130k lines of C++, after 10 years (minus tests). Just to give you an idea of how stupid this statement is.
