Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Aside from the plan itself, it’s actually an interesting read to learn more about the fascinating nature and heritage on our doorstep. 100
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 03/09/2026This includes woodlands near housing like Staffa, behind the high schools, Benbecula, Glen Derry, Calderglen Road, Glen Shee, Nithsdale and Lammermoor. Challenges include disease, erosion, storms, conifer plantations and access. 100
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Whilst dealing with individual issues, it's clear more needs done. The council were progressing a district heating system for the area which should bring down bills but the contractor fell through. 100
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 01/09/2026During this year's budget, I proposed and got agreement for more funding to repair MUGAs quicker. Today the first tranch of school MUGAs to be improved was approved, including Hunter and St Leonards. Details of works to be done will be available in due course, with work completed by spring 2027. 000
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Hunter and St Leonards Primaries staff, parent councils and parents told me that for years their multi-use games areas (MUGAs) were unplayable in certain weather. This resulted in more kids stuck with pent up energy and less sporting activities able to take place. Good news for both schools today. 100
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Absolute pleasure to join Sanctuary Care residents and team last week. Thank you all! We picked litter, chatted and spotted places where paths could be improved. Lifted wheelchairs around blocked dropped kerbs and identified areas where new drop kerbs would help (now reported for action). 010

Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 10/08/2026As part of improving access to and in Brancumhall Park / St Leonards Primary you told me that you wanted the hedges cut back off the path at St Leonards Road and storm damaged trees and foliage cut back from the lighting. The first ask is done, the second, planned. 160

Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 25/07/2026I joined the Stand up to Racism - Scotland rally today in Glasgow. Such important messages of unity in communities, about women's campaigns for justice and challenging austerity and billionaires, rather than any hatred of the people we share our places with. 14210

Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Hello! I'm Councillor Kirsten Robb, Councillor for East Kilbride East (taking in parts of St Leonards, Calderwood and all of Nerston) Email: Kirsten.robb@southlanarkshire.gov.uk Phone / WhatsApp: 07385 467774 121
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 08/06/2026Stoneymeadow Road: lots of fast food litter, cans and a small amount of fly tipping. Council will litter pick this in the next few months, however normally it’s only undertaken annually. 100
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 08/06/2026Lee’s Burn Court: privately owned, various fast food outlets, lots of litter on nearby roads but the sites were very clean. Signage to remind people to dispose of their waste responsibly would be helpful, reminders by staff and on packaging would be great. 100
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 08/06/2026Whin Place: lots of general litter, not much fly tipping. The first section of the road is adopted, however the rest of the road is not. Council will litter pick the pavement side as required and investigate any appropriate locations for signage. 100
Kirsten Robb @krobbgreen.bsky.social · 08/06/2026East Kilbride Community Litter Pickers asked me to investigate litter and fly tipping in Nerston Industrial Estate and Stoneymeadow Road in my ward. I had a cycle about, took photos and contacted the council to get their advice on what could be done. 210
