Enjoyed attending and presenting at my first @socsocmed.bsky.social conference in London a few weeks ago. It was a great opportunity to share my PhD research examining evidence mobilisation and uncertainty around vaping among smoking cessation professionals in Scotland. #SSMPHEuroEpi2026

In leading on this piece of research for @lhgp.bsky.social & the creation of this public-facing resource, I hoped to offer a useful starting point for researchers, advocates and public health practitioners to understand what we already know and what is possible at the local level.

The audience engagement at our @cpha-acsp.bsky.social workshop 'The Politics and Profit of Disinformation in Public Health' was amazing. This new BBC investigation reinforces 3 of our key messages: 1) Disinformation is profitable 2) Platforms are not neutral 3) Disinformation is embedded in the CDOH

What a week for LHGP at #PreventionResearch2026 with many LHGP researchers presenting new evidence on the commercial determinants of health, from local government to food environments to alcohol policy. LHGP was described as "trailblazing" by WHO's @monikakosinska.bsky.social.
