Minnesota mom here. This isn't about "fraud" but is about harming real people who need Medicaid to survive. It's the fear that it is permeating my disabled son's life (and mine) right now wondering if the Medicaid home & community-based services he needs will be destroyed.

In Minnesota, Democrats are unraveling our disability services system by imposing AI-driven payment waiting periods so that small businesses can't keep providing services to disabled Minnesotans. Currently it's non-emergency medical transport that's collapsing. All in the name of fighting fraud.

If you are a Minnesotan, I need you to call or write your state lawmakers today. People are, as of today, not making payroll, declaring bankruptcy, wondering where they or their kids are going to live, losing their jobs. I know the politics are tricky, but this is the wrong approach.

We have no idea what to do. There's no contingency plan in place to care for our son when his agency is unable to pay his staff. He needs 24-hour care to live independently. Do we bring him back to his apartment after this holiday weekend? Will his staff work without pay? This is unbelievable!

Kris Schulze @krisschulze.bsky.social · 02/01/2026
Our son depends on 24-hour care to live independently. That is now in jeopardy because payments are being delayed. We are figuring out if he can return to his home & if his staff will work without pay. His precarious Jenga tower of services is falling down around him...This is beyond a disaster!
