I’m a climate scientist. Let me fix this headline. “Nearly a century ago, scientists showed that burning fossil fuels warms the planet. Today, we know human emissions account for over 100% of the warming. Yet dark money and disinformation still work to keep Americans addicted to fossil fuels.”

Plants in the seed snails coming along nicely. This is the second year I’ve tried this method and I appreciate that it takes less space and less soil to grow seedlings. 🌱

People keep talking about how the government will collapse if we pursue the files. In MN, the community is keeping people fed and safe. Nationwide, ppl are donating to GoFundMe to cover medical expenses for fellow humans. There’s a whole lot of “government” that’s not really working rn.

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him. “When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

I appreciate those out there protesting at great risk to their lives however i think the nation needs to grind this economy to a dead stop. It's something everyone can do safely. No spending on ANYTHING but absolute necessities. I understand some shut ins can not do this but very many of us can.

There are SO many people asking about prepping for whatever may come. I’ve been talking about this for years, because we never know when there will be a weather event or a layoff and I was raised as a “plan for a train wreck” person. Now we’re adding ICE storms and fascism to the list.

Back from over 24 hours at the Capitol, fighting against the Big Ugly Bullshit bill. I watched Republicans cheer as they cut off 3 mil from food assistance & nearly 14 mil from life-saving healthcare. Adding TRILLIONS to the deficit, all for billionaires. This is a betrayal, but we aren't giving up.

Something needs to be clarified: BOYCOTTS DO NOT HAVE END DATES. The boycott against Target is working because it does not have an end date, these large corporations can take a 6 day hit. There must be a demand and a consequence. We cannot not allow people to co-opt terms.
