Q: Is there possibly a way to establish a 'throw your hat in the ring' option? if the event was and still is open to all talent but is only invite only due to initial low turn out/poor reach, i'd love a way for writers to throw their hats in the ring for consideration for future rounds if at all possible. even something like this form where people can be given a chance to join in. i fully understand if it's now an impractical option but still i'm sure i'm not the only one who'd love a chance if it's viable

A: Though we have decided not to do formal apps, the mods are open to suggestions. We now have a form where people can submit AO3 handles (including your own). Our next cycle isn’t until early next year, so please keep in mind that we will not be seriously discussing these writers until December.

Q:How are your writers decided?

A: The round robin is an invite only event. The mods nominate writers whose work they’re familiar with from AO3/fan events.
Unfortunately we learned from the initial failed launch of the round robin that open apps do not work well with our event structure.
