Preview of “Lasting Impact” by Scarlet_Traveler, written for Bright Future, a MHA Timeskip Anthology:

To be a hero who puts himself on the line to protect others, to live a life without regrets. He’s failed at the first, and it only made him fail at the second even worse. Maybe he’s getting better at them if Fat keeps praising him, though? Maybe he could consider going pro next year.

(He ignored the fact that he’s had that same thought for the last several years.)

TouyaKumo my beloved! I'm ecstatic to share a sneak peek of my fic that gives Touya a future of healing, family & sassy love. It was an absolute honor to collab with @digitaldarkpaw.bsky.social for this fic! 🛐 Check out the gorgeous art & follow @brightfuturezine.bsky.social for updates!

Stolen Dance by Shannz for Bright Future zine
Kurokumo snorted, and his subsequent outburst of laughter made Touya immensely happy. He smiled to himself, feeling more relaxed and growing sleepier by the moment.

“I know it's late, but c'mon over. Even if I'm already passed out, I just want to know you're here.” At Kurokumo's hesitation, he went on. “It doesn't have to be a big deal. Let's just do whatever feels good. They stole so much from us, this is the least we deserve, right?”

Kurokumo was silent for so long, Touya feared he made a mistake.

“I'll be right there.” The call disconnected.
