What's worse is that Polis was previously supportive of trans rights and signed bills in support of it. But since 2024 he's been actively fucking with the state and burning things on the way out.

On the flip side, this probably leads to more public scrutiny of SCOTUS and a reminder to Dem voters that court reform in 2028 is a must and that taking and keeping Congress when a Dem becomes president is vital to unfucking Roberts' BS.

How could you insert one into a GBA back in the day?/s

And for the notion that Hungary's new party is center-right (which it is), I remember that not too long ago we had left and right parties that were open to accommodating for LGBT people. Can we get back to that status quo instead of having extremists influence throwing queer people under the bus?

They've gotten to the point where they feel comfortable being openly bigoted. The good news is that at the very least, people are finding out that being hateful, especially this blatantly, is making everyone worse off and (hopefully) acting accordingly.

030

Well if the Dems take majorities in Congress, and Trump and the Republicans are unable to deflect blame from their fuckups onto them, that could spell trouble for them come 2028.

I actually went through the Fleetway comics not too long ago for a project of my own, but it relates to a certain archetype in Sonic media that piques my interest.

I think I like Carl Flint's take the most. The long jacket and striped shirt combo there looks the best on her. ...And thank you for reminding me of McMahon's weird artstyle, I was not a big fan when he drew the art for a comic.

Like, Zorak went off-model a lot in the original cartoon, and for the most part with both the recycled and new animation on C2C, he looks on-model, changing colors aside. Even if some of that animation was originally his underlings and not him in the original cartoon.

Donkey Kong History @donkeykonghistory.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

Yep, most of the weirder animation bits come from the original cartoon. Something I do kinda find neat though is that despite his skin and vest color changing between animation, Clay and the animators/editors made sure that all the Zorak animation was consistent with one another otherwise.

Funny how certain governors in supposedly blue states are enacting a lot of right wing policies. And it will get worse if the voters are bigoted and/or stupid enough to let those ballot measures slip by.

Which doesn't speak highly of the intelligence of the governments and investors that keep pumping money into this.

The sewer is getting a little crowded (Blocktober #10)

Mario notices that water isn't draining correctly. In a cross section of the sewer below, we can see that it is packed full with various sewer-dwelling characters: the Ninja Turtles and Splinter, Killer Croc from Batman, Leela's parents from Futurama, Pennywise the Clown, Grimer from Pokemon, the Lizard from Spider-man, Sewer Urchin from The Tick, Krobus from Stardew Valley, Callisto the Morlock leader from X-men, and Shellcreeper (the turtle) and Sidestepper (the crab) from the original Mario Bros. arcade game.

And yet because governments and wealthy investors are gullible at best, they've managed to stay afloat for quite a while.

#PortfolioDay #art Some highlights of mid-2026. I’m an eternal student of art. My oeuvre is character art and horror-fantasy in ink, watercolour and more rarely, digital. Like me, it’s an orderly chaos roulette.

Ink drawing of a gothic, Shadow Queen-inspired Princess Peach from the Mario series.

Ink drawing of a woman wearing a butterfly and paisley-patterned top among ghoulish figures.

Ink drawing of a witch character smoking from a cigarette holder, amongst strange occult objects in jars.

Ink drawing of a man with long hair wearing an outfit patterned with centipedes, holding a ghostly entity in a pair of chopsticks in his hand.

They only care about this now because they (and Trump) can't bullshit their way out of it. Turns out actively making peoples' lives worse with nothing positive to show for it would have diminishing returns.

Alright, for real this time, I'm playing Haunting Ground, a game I have no prior knowledge of besides the fact that it's about a woman trying to avoid being killed with the help of her dog. Sounds neat! www.twitch.tv/krazykopter93/

I have an on again/off again struggle whether to watch Evangelion in general or not. My curiosity stems from outside details but I don't know if this is something I could sit down and watch.

An optimistic sign if companies are cool with doing this sort of advertising again.

I think it's because Ted Turner saw the value with Warner as a whole and capitalized on it, boosting the company as a whole rather than just part of it at the expense of everything else.

Oh that sucks immensely when a cold drags on like that. I do hope you recover soon.

Every company is shitty, it's just Skydance is being the most openly shitty of the lot. Sucks that's how things are, but that's the truth. I will try my best to avoid them specifically, but I will not judge anyone that continues to get stuff produced by them (unless it's HP).

000

If Sony makes a new Ape Escape game or Microsoft actually does something with Rare, that would be tempting on my end, but not enough to make me want their consoles to play them. You decide how to go about your interests however you like. Whatever makes you feel better.

100

It's been relatively easy in my case largely because my intake of recent media has diminished over the last few years. My tastes are niche and thus don't get brought up often if at all, and thus there is less to be invested in.

100

And the decisions they do tend to make are sometimes baffling, feeling less like it's done for the people of the state and more for their own preferences or circles.

I see it's made all the right people upset. That's fine by me!

Meh, I prefer it over Jason Goes to Hell.
