15 years of planning and construction and they couldn’t drop power supply for food trucks, so they wouldn’t have to run a nasty 2 cycle generator in a crowded place.

With teenagers in the house, the junior mixer was no longer enough to make enough pizza dough in one batch. So I scoured Craigslist to find a bigger one, and drove all the way to Orting to pick up Kitchenaid 5000: The Doughbringer. Geez it’s big.
Two kitchenaid mixers, both alike in dignity, except the red one could maybe eat the black one, it’s so much bigger.

I just generated another set of scores and it did the same thing, so I assume you will be able to repro. Weird and fascinating that median is the thing this is happening for.
Here's the analysis of the 30 students' scores:
Average score: 76.4
Median score: 79.5 (midpoint between the 15th and 16th values when sorted)
Best student: Student 16 with a score of 96

Sorted scores: 51, 53, 53, 55, 57, 59, 67, 69, 73, 73, 74, 74, 74, 75, 76, 79, 80, 80, 81, 82, 83, 83, 84, 85, 87, 92, 95, 95, 95, 96

This is what I see. I think that's base, but not sure. It's a free subscription, if that helps you narrow it down.
Sonnet 4.6
Most efficient for everyday tasks (with a checkmark next to the text)

Extended thinking
Think longer for complex tasks (with a web control slider thing next to it, not turned on)

More models (with a caret next to it to expand to see more choices.

Then "Sonnet 4.6" in a selector drop down (currently collapsed)

Kenneth Trease @kptrease.bsky.social · 12/03/2026
Not trying to gotcha the model. This feels like a normal use case to me, that I honestly thought it would get it right. (In fact, I thought it had gotten it right until I calculated the median myself.)
A claude conversation.

Me: I think your median value is wrong

Claude: You're right, let me recount. With 30 scores, the median is the average of the 15th and 16th values in the sorted list.
Sorted scores: 2, 3, 10, 10, 11, 21, 22, 32, 34, 35, 48, 51, 57, 58, 58, 61, 62, 65, 70, 73, 80, 83, 84, 93, 93, 93, 96, 98, 98, 99
The 15th value is 58 and the 16th value is 61, giving a median of (58 + 61) / 2 = 59.5.
Sorry for the error!
