In the summer of 1996, I was in Seattle, with highs in the 80s instead of the 90s like back home in Florida. I'd enter a cafe or book store, and the manager or whoever was behind the counter would say, "Hot enough for you?" I replied, "We have a name for this weather in Florida. We call it Fall!"

Like my Aunt Margaret and Uncle Dick. Uncle Dick would never let Aunt Margaret see his driver's license, until she found it one day and did the math: when they married, she was 36 and he was 18! He was a big guy, and mature for his age, already gainfully employed. Only til death did they part.

@joplinapp.bsky.social I use my Joplin for genealogy. Notebooks are by individual names. Somehow, some individual notebooks are ending up under other individual notebooks, where they do not belong! How can I move these subordinated notebooks back to the top rank where they belong? Thanks!

As a Christian, I don't think federal agencies should be referring to "Christ, our Savior" in any context. I don't need my government to validate my faith. That's why it's called faith. More importantly, my government shouldn't be invalidating the religions of other Americans.
