Bankside House is closing next weekend as a summer tourist budget accommodation. Truly the end of an era. It was my primary place for staying during the summer in London for mode than a decade. I am definitely going to miss it.

The Clerkenwell Festival (August 2026) I didn't get up in time for the Dog Show - but the bands were pretty good. Keeping an eye out for the Lovely Lightning and The Forty Fours. I do enjoy being below median age at events. I reckon I was sized up as a possible candidate for the Lost Child drill

My Uncle once told me that he worked on the OXO tower in the 70s. Vicariously proud of this. I got challenged on this by Londoners who told me it was boarded up in the 70s " I thought you worked on the OXO building...it was all boarded up till the 90s" " I know...It was me who boarded it up"
