Those clippers are amazing! FMJ is the first Kubrick I ever saw. I remember stumbling on it on a movies channel once upon a time, loving it and wanting to rewatch it from the beginning, only to eventually be surprised that I had seen it from the beginning. I bought a 4k double pack of The Shining and Doctor Sleep years ago. Still haven't seen Doctor Sleep. I don't often watch sequels to esoteric movies, especially when there's a director change. I've similarly not seen 2010, Psycho 2, or any of that stuff. Should I watch Doctor Sleep #TCMParty?

Most movies have a low limit to how scary they can be: they're just movies. The scariest (Taxi Driver, Psycho, Rosemary's Baby, The Shining) push the limit by running towards being movies instead of running away. Nicholson's performance is tuned to this e.g. his little camera glances. #TCMParty
