I don't think people understand the Gunn/Safran plan very well. DC movies aren't all going to be "comic book movies"; Supergirl wasn't an action movie, it was a conversation between two damaged people who have to deal with a bunch of tragedy and trauma. It directly addressed grief and revenge.

This is an actual line that was added to the official system prompt for Codex for GPT-5.5 by OpenAI. Usually the system prompt is as minimal as possible, so I assume it would otherwise mention goblins a lot. AIs are weird.
