Have a good ride! Better take the gravel bike.

Pickup and tuneup Pen D with Lucky SHD50 Overlapping exposures
Black and white photo of multiple exposures overlapping like a collage. People sit at a table handing out time chips on the left. A bike sits on a repair stand under a tent in the middle. Various bike and farm scenes fill in the rest indistinctly.

love the lines disappearing into the sun! We need a feed for these, #InfrastructurePhotography or something like that.

Let’s take my bike Pen D with Lucky SHD50 Overlapping exposures
Bicycles lean up against a bright white wall. A person is standing next to theirs, reaching for it. Their shadow on the wall, which has a texture from another exposure, reaches for the bike too.
Another shadow is seen, with almost face-like features visible.

Thanks Eddie. There was a bit of wildfire smoke in the air that morning, but I think that’s mostly light leaks or internal reflections.

To catch the sun Holga 120N with Lucky SHD400 #ShittyCameraChallenge
A gravel road running between two lines of trees that arch over the road, extending into open fields in the distance. Sun rays stream down from the top of the photo, and internal reflections create curving rays that arc upwards like fingers or wings.

Many moons since the last harvest Holga 120N with Lucky SHD400 #ShittyCameraChallenge
An antique farming implement, perhaps a spreader, that hasn't seen use in many years, sits among tall grasses in an open field.

Bicycle race Pen D with Lucky SHD50 Overlapping exposures
Multiple photos overlapping showing cyclists getting ready for a rural gravel race. You can see the start-finish arch, a barn, and what may be some corn.

That’s too bad, it would be the perfect thing to fill all the new-found freezer space!

Caught up on my backlog of film, it’s mostly pictures! Pen wasn’t advancing properly for one roll so those ended up heavily overlapping, which could make something interesting. Or not.
Four strips of film hanging in front of a tile wall. A strip of 35mm half frame black and white film with images overlapping, two rolls of color half frame, and a roll of 120 black and white.

I made these this morning from an overnight enriched sourdough recipe, just so much better than boxed, worth the extra time when you have it.
A cooktop with four pancakes frying in a large cast iron pan, a stack of finished pancakes on an orange plate, and a measuring bowl half-full of bubbly batter.

Harvest 50 gravel race, last of the season, is tomorrow. TBH I’m not really feeling it but if nothing else it will be a nice ride, forecast is for a beautiful late summer day.
Weather forecast graph showing sunny all day, low of 52 F and high of 73 F

My initial visceral response was "who/what is this for?" but I've come around to seeing them as a simple, neutral plate option. Not at all influenced by us getting one.

Are you the very model of a modern major general? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Defense against an enraged, overwhelming population intent on violently dismembering the small minority that controls, enslaves, and abuses them from behind closed walls? Funny how similar a zombie apocalypse is to a popular uprising.

The Kroger in Speedway has a popcorn shop, and it’s quite good! I’m enjoying the “Indy Mix”—butter, caramel, and Oreo. It’s nice to find something as staid and soulless as Kroger can still exhibit a bit of individuality.

Yeah expect this year will be closer to a presidential election year than a typical midterm. Didn't you say you had some people asking why they couldn't vote for the president in the primary? Get ready for a lot more of that! You've inspired me to look into signing up as a poll worker.

I do full-body so every day sucks. New program has lots of dumbbells and aux work so I’m constantly reminded just how imbalanced I am too (bum shoulder on one side, back/hip on the other).

You should take an interstate road trip. Stop at a Buc-ees. Your question will not be answered there but along the way you’ll experience American car culture to its fullest, for better and worse. Then go to a city (NYC or Chicago) and you may appreciate where this fascination comes from.

Someone needs to do something about these roving shirtless gangs. I ran into another one this morning downtown.

this hotel needs to work on their messaging
a hotel gym reflected in a mirror that has "rules are meant to be broken" written on it. A person is seen taking the picture with their phone with a perplexed look on their face.A plaque that reads "fitness center rules" and a long list of rules, which they surely do not expect you to break.

Ooh that’s tough, those are all some nice pieces (I absolutely love the robots btw). The two new ones are too big for the hallway imo. I think I would replace Mrknowital, which I would maybe even move to the hallway with the robots… maybe?

That said, they want full permissions to your account, which I’m sure is because of how votes are tracked, but eh nah… Better to hack a botfarm to game the votes anyways.

If you’re even passing through Indiana that photo is of the Miller House in Columbus, designed by Eero Saarinen in the mid 50s. Really neat place. Neat town to explore too.
