Posing for the Omon Ra cover shoot?
A cover for the English translation of the book “Omon Ra” by Victor Pelevin, comprised of a photo illustration of a cosmonaut or astronaut in a silver suit with a birds head, set on a solid red background.

The tree I reported down across a trail yesterday was amazingly already cleared this morning, only DPW cones left as a calling card. further along that same trail a service truck (not DPW) was parked on the path, and then a construction gate was blocking the path. But at least the tree is gone.
A large broken tree limb lays across a paved multi-use path running alongside a two-lane road with trees lining both sides

Pickup and tuneup Pen D with Lucky SHD50 Overlapping exposures
Black and white photo of multiple exposures overlapping like a collage. People sit at a table handing out time chips on the left. A bike sits on a repair stand under a tent in the middle. Various bike and farm scenes fill in the rest indistinctly.

Let’s take my bike Pen D with Lucky SHD50 Overlapping exposures
Bicycles lean up against a bright white wall. A person is standing next to theirs, reaching for it. Their shadow on the wall, which has a texture from another exposure, reaches for the bike too.
Another shadow is seen, with almost face-like features visible.

Caught up on my backlog of film, it’s mostly pictures! Pen wasn’t advancing properly for one roll so those ended up heavily overlapping, which could make something interesting. Or not.
Four strips of film hanging in front of a tile wall. A strip of 35mm half frame black and white film with images overlapping, two rolls of color half frame, and a roll of 120 black and white.

I made these this morning from an overnight enriched sourdough recipe, just so much better than boxed, worth the extra time when you have it.

Harvest 50 gravel race, last of the season, is tomorrow. TBH I’m not really feeling it but if nothing else it will be a nice ride, forecast is for a beautiful late summer day.

Processes and procedures being subverted at the whim of a single person is not a good thing. "The process [to change a name] takes a minimum of six months. Each proposal is thoroughly reviewed and researched before the BGN Domestic Names Committee renders a decision." www.usgs.gov/us-board-on-...
A flowchart of the six broad steps that should be followed for any domestic name changes. See the link in the post for more details on this process.

Feeling better today so got to take my new bike build out for its first spin! It's a parts-bin drop-bar commuter built around a State 4130 Single Speed frameset with self-built 700c wheels that have a stealth two-speed kick-shift hub with coaster brake, which I originally built for my city cruiser.

Couple more. I can only set up at one of these locations, thoughts? Though the streetlights were malfunctioning (the bright light is from a stadium) so if they were fixed then lighting will be a bit different tomorrow. Actually I’m not sure if the stadium will be lit up either…
