I once described this book ROCK STAR as what happens when superhero Partridge Family haul the Stepford Wives into a giant mecha and get ready to kick asteroid. The reptilian invaders are bringing the wacky mushrooms, of course. books2read.com/u/4NKg8W Amazon: a.co/d/083MQ1WT

The power went out last night, but we found the lantern & the TARDIS, yay! Also, thanks for reading & sharing & liking my poem Takoyaki Tuesday at Kaleidotrope.
A little battery powered lantern which is green sits on a red crocheted blanket. A TARDIS keychain dangles from the lantern.

Happy book birthday!!! Two years ago today, DREAD THE BOARDS was released. Thanks to everyone who has supported it along the way! #booksky #horror #yalit #middlegradelit
Picture of ebook cover DREAD THE BOARDS by C. Signy Maraine: A black background with an angry-faced red house that is reaching towards two small figures.
Synopsis:
Truman Gertie, in his quest to become an astronaut, has prepared--trained--to solve complex problems, overcome unimaginable obstacles, to survive. Now he finds himself trapped in a house filled with dark, stolen magic--a house dangerous beyond comprehension, aided by a cast of heartless captors bent to do its will. To escape, Truman needs more than his wits to succeed. He must forge an unlikely alliance with the other captives: a betrayer, an accomplice, and maybe even a nemesis from school who wishes him dead.

WERECONIFER is the sequel to WERECOCKROACH. Some months after the first book, Rin and their friends are asked to help find a missing shapeshifting tree. Generally gentle with a queer found family and also aliens. #AroAce #QueerBookSky More information: www.polenthblake.com/words/weretr...
The cover of WERECONIFER by Polenth Blake is at an angle on a brown background. The cover has hand drawn letters and a Scots pine tree with multicoloured round decorations (lights) drawn with felt tip pens. Captions surround the cover in a childish messy font with arrows pointing at things.

Captions pointing at the tree: pine needles, festive lights, tree.

Captions for the book: aliens wearing socks, book two, queerplatonic, also cockroaches, bonus cats, this is a sequel, i drew this, rainy winter, multiple aspec characters.

The cat neighbor took off when the plumbers arrived. Also, I finished reading The Odyssey. This time around, I noticed more how Odysseus expresses his emotions throughout his books. He could've filled the sea with his tears, which is a reasonable response to his struggles.

**Lights Out Alert Sunday & Monday Nights** Birdcast is estimating 300-400 million birds will be in flight.
From meteorologist Eric Snitil

**Lights Out Alert Sunday & Monday Nights**

"Heads up birders, I would not be surprised if the biggest bird migration night of the year happens over the next 2 nights. Birdcast is estimating 300-400 million birds will be in flight. That is a lot, but the pattern could not be better for migratory birds. A massive area of high pressure will turn the low level winds from the northeast to the southwest across most of the US. The last time we had anything similar to this in the fall was early October last year when a record 1.25 billion birds were in flight. I doubt we get to that level, but I suspect the number will top 500 million especially Monday night which looks to be the bigger of the two nights. You can help by turning off those outdoor lights on big migration nights, and the next 2 nights is about as big as it gets."
