Dead bodies lie on the streets of Kyiv once again, and a market is on fire after another russian terrorist attack. Russia isn't shy to kill Ukrainians in broad daylight, during busy evenings, or burn us in our beds at night. They are openly terrorizing us every single day now.

I was deputy M.E. at the WSJ when Murdoch took over, with a similar “editorial independence board.” Within 4 months, our top editor was gone, replaced by a loyal Murdoch deputy. That board raised a quivering objection, but the deed was done. If the Ellisons own CNN, they’ll do whatever they want.

It would be more than a little ironic if Trump's CNN/MS NOW/Politico tantrum (and the resulting lack of coverage the entire WHCA is going to provide) is what finally educates the press about the extent to which Trump needs *them* even more than they need him.

Wonderful! Who would ever want students to have time to deliberate, revise, and sharpen their arguments? Where in the society that sort of labor have any value?
Like many institutions, Harvard does not have a central set of A.I. rules. David Deming, dean of Harvard College, wrote in a note to students arriving for the fall semester that he favors more A.I. where “it can deepen learning,” but that the school was also looking to A.I.-proof some assignments.

That would mean more in-class tests, said Dean Deming, and fewer take-home assignments, where the temptation to cheat is powerful. He said he intends to produce a set of guidelines for A.I. use at the college by the end of the academic year.
