iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I'm going to start with herbs and getting the path to the firepit tidied up. Then, we'll discuss what vegetables she'll realistically use and figure out how to incorporate that into the space she has.

Garden. She has tried to start one a couple of times. So, there's space kind of prepped for it. But, it's overrun with weeds and needs to be renewed and maintained. I have been in a similar situation in the past. It can be hard to work full time AND keep up with a house AND yard.

Grace’s chickens having a snack of tomatoes, purple cabbage and broccoli scraps.

4 chickens, one white, one buff and 2 black, pecking at the ground. There is a pole between them and a large stick crossing over where they’re standing.

I told you that you share a name with one sister? This is the younger sister. It's 14 miles to her house and she has plenty of space for me to dig around in and a whole new landscape for me to figure out.

Not really. I did bring a canna that was a gift from our shared BIL. And put an iris and couple of callas in front of the condo. But, most of what I have loved are replacable. IF I find a place for them. Like.... I bought a resurrection lily because I didn't have time to find one from the yard.

If you thought that me moving to a condo meant no more whining about sore butt muscles from squatting down to pull weeds, you were wrong. OW!!! But that front yard is looking MUCH better.

I had not heard of that method of composting. Very cool.

The thing that drives me crazy about this is that it isn't just protecting the Pedo-in-Chief. It's protecting every sleazebag in the file. They are still walking around, free to commit more crimes, while their victims have to live with the memories of what happened to them.

Kitty trivia: I need to find a stink proof container. Composting where there are bears isn't really a good plan. BUT, I can take stuff to Grace's chickens and everybody wins. I'll try to remember to get you a chicken picture tomorrow when I take tomato and broccoli remnants to them.

Piers Morgan “Mohammed, do you condemn the Hamas attacks on October the 7th?” Mohammed Hijab “Yes, I do. Do you condemn Israel killing over 1000 kids?” Piers Morgan “I believe Israel has a right to defend themselves” That answer should be on the tombstone of his career.

😱 There is absolutely no accounting for taste. I can't imagine covering that up EVEN when wall-to-wal carpet was fashionable.

NEW: Remember when John Oliver opened a church to expose how easy it was to get tax exemptions? This year, ProPublica reporters set out to establish private schools to test if, truly, anyone could open one. We founded two. Here’s how.

How ProPublica Reporters Became Private School Owners in 24 Hours

The reporting experiment demonstrates how easy it can be to open private schools that might then access public money. No credentials or background checks required.

Is this the coolest invention ever!? Our tax dollars *should* be funding things like this. That’s literally the point of a govt imo. #vote

Early voting is already underway in some states. From now until Nov 3, I urge you all to... 1) Help get out the vote 2) Protect our electoral machinery from interference 3) Not succumb to complacency, defeatism, or cynicism We are the only ones who can end this nightmare.

SIL is feeling poorly so we came home instead of extending our trip with a visit to see them. We'll try again in the Spring.
