Progress was kinda slow previously, now it has gotten even slower thanks to a new hobby 🤷 Only managed to add 'cursed' and 'unidentified' item properties and the way to identify them (free via the town guild, else uses scrolls). Also some bug fixes here and there. That's all for now 👋 #JSDungeon

It's a PC only game, not compatible with any retro hardware. The different areas of the game have different colors to help set them apart but still maintain a Game Boy vibe. And sorry about latency, I don't have any Steam hardware to test the game on unfortunately

If blocks clear while touching a can (3 fish or 4 "fruit"), the can opens and you get a bunch more blocks to work with

Have you looked into migraine with aura? I get them every couple months, I lose vision, have visual shimmers, sometimes struggle choosing words, along with the other usual migraine symptoms.

Been playing Front Mission on DS and made a little ascii mech. I was imagining some sort of mech-themed traditional roguelike, but if I eventually make a mech game, it won't be textmode haha #pixelart #textmode #frontmission

There is also no "room" equivalent to GMS, so instead I think it's a good exercise to make your own "room" scene, assuming your rooms would have shared behavior (camera, player, etc.). So it's like making a room parent and then instantiating it to make levels

This exists but it's not really a primer: github.com/coppolaemili... I have "Godot 4 Game Development Projects" by Chris Bradfield; it's a pretty good intro. You won't have global functions like GMS, but you can make an autoload (e.g. math dot gd). Then your function(s) would be math.function()
