Dozens of immigrants have died in private detention facilities. Many suffer medical neglect. There's fear journalist Richard Parias may need his arm amputated after ICE shot him. How bad is it? We don't even know. That's why Gavin Newsom must sign this powerful public records bill in California.

Republicans in Congress have handed ICE more than $100 billion in funding, but ICE has failed to pay its medical providers since October. This is unacceptable. Hospitals and doctors are owed millions while people in detention are being denied possibly lifesaving treatment.

I keep reading legacy media reports about the daily actions of Trump, as if he were a normal president, as if he wasn’t intent on democracy’s destruction & ignoring the rule of law. This crook has gotten away with crimes all his life because he was not judged clearly as a criminal flouting the law.
