General rule for fanfic etiquette can be compared to someone gifting you a cake. 🎂 Privately telling a friend “it was dry, not my favourite” — ok Declaring you hated it where the person could reasonably stumble upon that comment? Rude! No more cake for you.

should I be working on the next chapter of Delicate Lessons? Absolutely. Am I working on a Charmione inspired by The Notebook to start posting after DL is done? Yes. Am I also researching murder weapons for my FNAF fic? MHMM.

Sara || Kitchenwench @kitchenwench.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

Mine have been locked since the very beginning unfortunately. A lot of the hate comes from it being recommended in dramione groups and people not bothering to note the relationship tags. And then people that used to comment nice things but are now upset with the amount of time it’s taking.

140

Sara || Kitchenwench @kitchenwench.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

Exactly! It’s one of the reasons I refuse to write Dramione bc sadly, that is the ship with a majority of these problems. My other fics with other ships haven’t had these problems at all. As much as I love people reading it, I definitely wish it hadn’t gotten so popular while i’m still writing😭
