I know I have posted this before as the unusual hummingbird who decided to hang out with me every time I was outside. A few years ago. I had to lean back to take it with a lens that was usually inadequate. #FlowerPower #BirdOfTheDay #NaturePhotography #ECK

For the kind of day I am having which statistically seems likely to be not isolated to just me stronger medicine than goslings could be required. My dog Ori, 3 weeks after I got him and 5 weeks after. He doesn't usually look as crazed as that. #dogs #dogphotography
A mostly white dog , wearing a blue coat and trailing an orange leash runs along wet sand. There are two rocks in the background and walker wheels on a mostly buried accessibility mat.

Pity the duck mother given her ducklings hatch and are able to do the things a duck needs to and yet they often round them up somehow.

As I sat near the water while waiting for cranes to leave the hiking path, a small stoat popped out of the grass and kept circling around popping up to look at me. A very fast and curious creature #stoat #weasel #protectnature #EastCoastKin #mammal

Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme #simple has a mallard duckling on some rocks looking into the water awaiting the inevitable as his mother had been in hot pursuit. #Birds #birdphotography #nature #ECK Taken near the Gorge Waterway at the freshwater estuary in Esquimalt, BC.
A mallard duckling , with a lot of brown marking and less yellowish brown, stands on grey rock looking at water that reflects the rock enough to look grey. One eye visible on the duckling

For #Stunday perhaps one of the most beautiful places I have been. This was taken above Lake O'Hara, in Yoho, National Park. Parks' staff likely still are insisting making a marmot puppet/hat is non-optional, like the briefing the use as bait. #Naturephotography #Landscape #BC #ECK
Small alpine lake. Conifers surround it. Clouds and trees reflected in it. Fairly barren mountains in background with some snow visible in spots,.

The assorted organisms on a pontoon in my favourite place to swim. #oceans #naturephotography #Eck. I likely did not see this all in real time as it is unsafe to try to get under the dock at that depth and I am sensibly risk averse. I wasn't expecting it to be so wondrous to me.

Guess which dog got a clean bill of health ( and a few shots ) at his first vet visit with me as his human. Okay I did not make that challenging. He has grown a bit and when we got him at the end of December he wasn't swimming yet so he spent more time dry. #dogs

My dog can apparently shake effectively enough that the drops wound up making me think he had managed to hit blurry without adjusting the camara but alas it is just the water flying from his hair. The smoke higher up was clearly impacting the sun's lighting the ocean. #Dogs
White dog is shaking hard enough to send water flying. The dog has just arrived on shore and the ocean is grey looking. Quality of light that day was impacted by smoke in air

www.cp24.com/news/canada/... Argh. Stats like kids under the age of 18 who have died are meaningless as they can start to learn to drive at 16. 16 is the age in BC for both e-bikes and e-scooters with a helmet and there are enforcement blites every time someone younger is on found on one.

10 children died as a result of e-scooter incidents, report notes amid rising concerns

I spent 6 pleasant hours looking at pictures mostly . I don't mind beyond my ongoing determination to do more than take pictures. To sleep with me now and to provide a head for the dog to sleep on. He doesn't like me moving much for his longer sleep. I am oddly willing to be furniture.

Good morning. Hope you all have a wonderful day ahead. When you know somebody is eating your food but you can’t see who. #birds #photography #ECK
A close-up photograph of a juvenile European Starling perched on a weathered stone bird table scattered with mixed seed. The young bird has dark brownish-black plumage with fluffy, untidy head and neck feathers, giving it a spiky, slightly comical appearance. Warm brown edging on the wing feathers contrasts with its darker body, while its long, pointed bill and curious dark eye are turned to the left. At the lower left edge of the frame, the head of a House Sparrow peeks into view, appearing to eye the larger bird from a respectful distance. The background is a soft blur of vibrant green foliage with a few out-of-focus leaves framing the scene, creating a peaceful summer garden setting.
