Properly handled UTF-16 has zero advantage over UTF-8 (and zero disadvantage as well, it can be a valid choice) But if someone / some system prefers UTF-16 over UTF-8 you just know they assume 2 bytes is enough for all characters and WILL break your shit

Idols are incredible, I used to overcorrect into disliking idols but that was wrong, nothing about idols is easy or low effort; but it's a different kind of effort and it's not right if all bands face pressure to be like idols (dancing, perfect personalities, acting etc.)

更新好elementary OS的翻譯了我們先前翻完之後現在要更新的時候就只有少少的新字串要更新，少到直接用Weblate也可以現在zh_TW是八個完整翻譯的譯文語言裡的一個

elementary Weblate 上語言列表和翻譯進度；介面語言是日文。從上到下是荷蘭語 (進度100%)、カタルーニャ語(我不知道這個語言華語叫什麼) (進度是打勾)、瑞典語(進度是打勾)、西班牙語(進度是打勾)、マニプリ語(我也不知道這個語言華語名稱) (進度是打勾)、蒙特內哥羅語 (進度是打勾)、中文(繁體字) (zh_TW) (進度是打勾)、日文 (進度100%)，和英文(進度100%，因為是原文語言進度條是比較不強烈的顏色)。進度100%而非打勾通常代表完整翻譯但有一些自動檢查上的警告。

I think of it as relative and absolute morality, instinctively we measure how bad someone is by comparing with expectations, but this results in already bad people getting a free pass Personally I try to correct for it by comparing with some other measure instead of depending on my expectations
