Green leader lays out hopes for by-election

The Welsh Gender Service has cancelled all gender-affirming surgeries for patients on the NHS with immediate effect, according to QueerAF and What The Trans!? This includes pre-operative assessments and scheduled surgeries. Some trans patients received this news just days or even hours before their procedures, as revealed in NHS correspondence sent to them. While I don’t have precise figures for the number of Welsh Gender Service (WGS) patients scheduled for gender-affirming surgery, hundreds will be immediately affected. Last year, nearly 1,500 people were waiting for their first appointment at the WGS.

Yesterday marked 27 months since I started HRT. Let's discuss what has changed in the last month. What has changed this month? Well, all I can say is this month things have slowed down. This is normal during your HRT journey. For example, in month 26 everything was going at full speed but this month it’s all stopped. Don’t panic though; things will eventually return to normal. How does this effect your mental health? When I began HRT it affected my mental health. I wondered if I’d done something wrong or if the medication had simply stopped working.

I recently acquired a second-hand ROG Xbox Ally. This handheld is perfect for travelling on public transport with my PTSD. Plus, thanks to the RAM and storage shortages, it’s currently the cheapest handheld available. First Impressions I used the Xbox Ally for a month running Windows 11. Getting into Windows took about two hours due to all the updates it needed. The Xbox Ally runs a special version of Windows 11 called Xbox Mode which reduces some background tasks. This improved performance but made the handheld feel clunky to use.

About 2 months ago I got a Lenovo ThinkPad T480s. While the specs where very nice, a Core i7 8th Gen, 8Gb Ram and a 256Gb NVMe SSD, there were 5 upgrades I wanted to do to it. It is important to note that the main reason why I got this ThinkPad is to use it to type out my blogs, send and receive emails, do research and browse the web. I have installed Steam on it and I do play some light or old games like Stardew Valley, Vampires Survivor, Supreme Commander 2…

Euro Office recently released the web component of the Euro office stack for download and I have installed it on my server. I have installed it as I like to use software that is not spying on me, plus I am noisy especially when it comes to software that can let me use less big tech software. What is Euro Office? Office EU (Euro Office) is a complete cloud-based office suite (like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) that is 100% European-owned and runs entirely on European infrastructure. Office EU is designed for organisations and individuals across Europe who refuse to trade convenience for privacy.

I would like to start by conveying that my thoughts and sympathies are with everyone that was affected at CSD Berlin, or Berlin Pride, last weekend. Pride events should be safe for everyone and no one deserves to be injured or killed for just being who they are. I have recently had to renew my PIP claim as I have PTSD from serving in the Army. It has been a very stressful few months. 5 years since I had to go through this, how it affected me then. The last time I had to renew my PIP claim was 5 years ago, where I had to take it all the way to the tribunal stage of the process.

The Green Party leader was the only party leader to attend the London Trans+ Pride press launch. He spoke exclusively to Scene about the new EHRC guidance, teachers, and why Pride is still important.

This month marks 26 months since I started HRT. What has changed? Well, I went for some blood tests this month, as I do every 3 months. Here are the results:- Oestrogen - 910 pmol/L Testosterone - 11.5 nmol/L My Testosterone is higher than the last time I had my bloods tested, as I ran out of Puberty Blockers for 1 1/2 months. This is because the doctors would not prescribe injections. The injections apparently cost a lot more than tablets, so I had to go without once I had gone through my reserves.
