And to my friends who I respect greatly: please consider how these posts can look and feel a lot like bullying, even when that isn't your intent.

I'm deeply concerned by posts from colleagues and friends that go beyond criticism of work toward public shaming of authors. We need to debate today's standards, and criticism is part of research. But we can do that without personal attacks in a forum that invites pile-ons.

"ChatGPT for Academic Researchers" to 100k faculty at mostly just R1/top American schools yet so far I've only heard of people being waitlisted -- so who actually got this? Very curious.

Randomized vs deterministic mechanism revenue for a unit-demand buyer: three i.i.d. truncated equal-revenue items and a 4-entry menu (one bundle lottery + three deep prices) give ratio ≥ 1.1540801, improving CMS10's 1.1386. UB is 3 of JL24.

Optimal auction vs. second-price with anonymous reserve revenue: an explicit 9-bidder regular instance with OPT/AR = 2.16352, improving the 2.1596 of JLTX20. All numerical. UB is 2.6202 of JLQTX19.

In the wake of these counterexamples to math conjectures, Taylor Lundy (UBC, Auctionomics), told me he spent about two seconds playing with the following EconCS lower bounds and GPT 5.6 Sol claims to have found improvements, providing the examples as well as code to verify them.
