I think Chuck Lorre actually does have his own "Seinfeld finale" now. The season 1 finale of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe left fans divided, because it felt less like a satisfying climactic finale than Chuck Lorre doing meta commentary about multicam sitcoms and his desire to branch out.

The new Scary Movie blows. It isn't a send-up of modern horror trends, it's comedians having a midlife crisis. They neither recapture their glory days nor tap into the current zeitgeist.
