At one of the Denver games an analyst was asking her about playing a home Olympics in 2028… I wanted to scream

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Bad take, TWG. Head injuries are serious and players shouldn’t feel the need to play through them- or be celebrated for doing so

The flight time is like an hour shorter. It’s still a long international flight.

No I didn’t, because she said she had personal matters to attend to in Spain and signed for a team in Saudi Arabia less than a month later. I feel lied to and wondering why the hell Gotham didn’t get a fee for a player under contract.

My espn2 on YouTube tv is showing men’s soccer - how can I watch NWSL?

000

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

This one was a bit heartbreaking to me and it’s hard to fully articulate why. It’s like Gotham is too willing to part with players- that there’s little or no loyalty, and they’re always willing to make a trade for the next thing instead of actually building the team. This may be a bad take.

011

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

The @nwslsoccer.com choosing not to show the game to have an interview with a team owner is ridiculous and bad for the game. And frankly embarrassing. @espn.com @nwslplayers.bsky.social #nwsl it’s been minutes now and 0 game related commentary. Pathetic #espn

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Why is this and does it ever get reevaluated/ updated?

Oh ok. I thought she was because of the spotrac designation… thank you

120

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Per spotrac she is already SEI, we have 22 with mak, meaning now 21 without mak. And without knowing the status of O’Sullivan even more concerning

101

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

So Gotham is under the league minimum number of players?

okay, I appreciate that the league/teams are making exceptions for water bottles, but uh... do they understand that AQI isn't just a hydration issue? I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV, but like... the issue isn't dehydration, it's inhaling unhealthy particles.

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

I also saw very few fans masked (which is obviously anyone’s individual choice), as well as no bench players/ team staff masked. I wondered if the league would have discouraged masking for optics. Seems it may have helped those not actively playing given they were outside for 2-4 hours.

000

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

The hydration breaks prolong the game and the time the players are exposed to the air. It is a joke and illegitimate safety theater from the league. I was there masked the whole time and still felt unwell after. And I felt horrible for the players, staff and everyone there.

gotta be honest, the more I think about it, the more pissed I get that there were 4-5 different sets of fireworks in last nights game, including during a hydration break that was mandated due to the air quality. Absolutely unacceptable @nwslsoccer.com

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

Gotham queens classic game about to kick off with AQI 200+ near the stadium. From @nwslsoccer.com own policy, this game should not happen. I am here in a mask and planning to leave early. The players shouldn’t have to play in this. #gotham #nwsl #woso

1142

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

Same. I know I don’t feel well with these aqi numbers, and even a mask I don’t think will help with being outside 2-3 hours (transit to the game, etc)

100

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

This, I am still trying to decide if I’m going…

100

Kim @kiminqueens.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

Are any other NWSL fans debating skipping the Queens Classic Gotham v Spirit game due to the terrible air quality? I don’t know what to do. Have been looking forward to this for months. And I feel terrible that the players have to play through it. AQI is currently 151-200 in NYC, unhealthy for all.

I have never seen a post-match fireworks show set up inside the stadium. All the ones I have seen are shot from a space just outside of the stadium. I haven’t seen any news of any injuries thank goodness. What was Angel City thinking?

As a Queens resident, thrilled about this! I would become a STH immediately- the transit/ commute issues to Harrison are awful from NYC and not doable for most weekends. Having the subway and LIRR as transit options, and right in NYC, will be a game changer.

Her contract is up at the end of the year. Will she be re-signed? (I think she should be, but seeing Straus’ comments about building next years team, focus on the youth, and her recent tiktok, I wonder what the dynamic is like).

Morocco was awarded WAFCON hosting rights in Oct 24. That’s 17 months to flag that March wasn’t workable. Instead, CAF let squads fly in, training camps run, athletes disrupt their seasons and THEN pulled the plug 12 days out. This isn’t unforeseen. It’s mismanagement dressed up in a press release.

A penalty kick should be 0.5 points if scored. Enough to win if the game is tied, but not worth a full point.
