I make no apologies
Graphic titled "My 9 Games: The 9 Games That Shaped Who I Am," showing a 3-by-3 grid of captioned video game cover art on a pale green background.

Top row: Star Trek, green vector-style title text on black. Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?, a magnifying glass over a passport. The Legend of Zelda, a silver crest shield on gold.

Middle row: Tetris, a Russian onion-domed cathedral on red. GoldenEye 007, a man in a suit aiming a pistol beside a woman, with explosions and a running figure. Quake III Arena, a red curved logo on a metallic circuit-board texture.

Bottom row: Battlefield 1942, a helmeted soldier over warplanes and a tank. Batman: Arkham City, a grayscale Batman crouched on a gargoyle. Clash Royale, colorful cartoon warriors beneath the game logo.

The hashtag #My9Games appears at the bottom.

My issue with saying this is you’re implying/admitting that LE doesn’t really try until it affects them: “The ShinyHunters ransomware group appears to be actively trying to put a target on their back,” Cynthia Kaiser, senior vice president at Halcyon’s ransomware research center, told CyberScoop.

I’m becoming increasingly convinced that far too many people on both sides of the AI issue don’t understand that models don’t “think” anything absent human-provided stimulus The thing just sits there, idling and waiting for the next input It doesn’t “think”, “decide”, or “want” anything on its own

Current AI models are stateless token guessers which are completely dependent on context and have no desires or wishes of their own They only do what we tell them to do, even if we didn’t mean it like *that* As always, the problems with computers are all ultimately people problems

Anthropic's models run on terabytes of VRAM. It's not going to "just copy itself to other computers."

Rohan Paul
@rohanpaul_ai
Jacob Coxon's next interview on CBS News (ex Anthropic+Open AI researcher who resigned)

"We can't just unplug it because it could be copying itself over to other computers. Like it's not that difficult to find yourself because an AI is just code. It could transfer itself over the internet to a different place and then you unplug it here, but it's actually still over there and maybe it makes 10,000 copies of itself and they're all cooperating."
