AI翻訳やMTPEについて言えば、以下のような重大な問題もあります。・効率化で得られるメリット（時間や報酬）は現場の人間が手にすべきものなのに、上のほうで吸われるだけ。翻訳者は、30年前よりも低い単価で、しかも以前の倍近い密度で働かされるだけ。・「報酬水準はMTPEですが、要求品質は人間翻訳と同等ですから。よろしくぅ」というおかしな要求がまかり通っている。人間品質の訳文を安いカネで手に入れようとしている。実際、手に入れている。・TM化された訳文の再利用について、翻訳者に渡るべき著作権使用料が発生しない。契約文書で、著作権の放棄を事実上強制されている。

新たなプロジェクトが始まる時は、相変わらず「本当に自分にやれるのか」と猛烈な不安におそわれます。慣れればマシになるんじゃないかと昔は思っていましたが、10年以上経ってもそうですし、むしろ悪化している気がします。

先日小耳にはさんだのですが、最近よく聞く某翻訳会社（低レート、短納期で有名かと…）は、自社の登録翻訳者と仕事をしないよう顧客にまで契約を結ばせるそうです。新規開拓の際には、十分な下調べが極めて重要ですね🧐
