This book stuck with me the most of the 55 I read last year. Fantastic slowburn gothic horror novel written in the form of journal entries. It follows a schoolteacher in 1901 as she moves to a remote town and deals with the aftermath of trauma, surpressed female rage, and delusions #bookreviews
