If the majority of Scottish people were well and truly against independence, wouldn’t a referendum solidify the unionist parties’ beliefs? Or are they too scared to admit the fact that independence is what Scotland wants?

Scotland is debating whether to build or freeze data centres. There's a third option - and China's proven it works. Offshore, wind-powered, and underwater. Scotland is in the unique position to best replicate this.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇨🇳 Read more: kieranmacneil.substack.com/p/why-scotland-should-look-to-shanghai

Got a Reform leaflet through the door today stating that a Reform Scottish government would abolish VAT on heating costs and reduce fuel duty. How does Reform plan to do this when both of these policies are outwith the powers of the Scottish Parliament?

Japan has just gutted its arms export ban, despite public opposition. No parliamentary oversight — the Diet is only notified after the cabinet approves the export. Takaichi isn't just wanting to rearm Japan. She’s trying to turn them into a weapons dealer to serve the US Empire.

The decision to block Ming Yang's £1.5 billion investment in Ardersier is a self-inflicted wound by the UK government. Scottish investment dragged down by Westminster's anti-China ideology. Independence is the only way to break the cycle.

Right decision. The bill’s definitions were too broad, and the safeguards - in both the original and final versions - were not enough. This shouldn’t be the end of the discussion, though. Scotland needs to invest more directly in palliative care.

Did you know the term ‘Lunar New Year’ for Chinese New Year is a British colonial invention? During their occupation of Hong Kong, they removed Chinese New Year and replaced it with Lunar New Year in Hong Kong law. The UK deliberately de-sinicised Chinese holidays during their occupation.
