It was an absolute pleasure to meet the folks at @ilfordphoto.com @harmanphoto.co.uk at the Photography and Video Show this weekend, and an even greater pleasure to steal a sticker from them! But I've pasted it to my Nikon AF-230, so I assure you all I'm making good use of it.

I'll have to disagree, because if you do appreciate Electro Velvet, you probably do with a shred of irony. I think Eurofans who have gravitated towards Remember Monday are somewhat more earnest in their enjoyment of it - but that's just my take.

I get that RM isn't for everyone, but are they really worse than Electro Velvet? I'm Still In Love With You was so badly written and felt twee and super cheesy, though I got the feeling that Electro Velvet wanted to be taken seriously. That song was a failure on all counts. I don't see it.

I used the Coolpix P520 because it's the only camera I own with a tilting screen, and I obviously wanted to see what I was doing with myself. The shots I have look... fine, I guess? But the backgrounds just look super cluttered.

If you're curious about the new profile picture: I took a some self-portraits using a Nikon Coolpix P520 on aperture priority with a fill flash - in broad daylight - on top of a tripod. The sensor's tiny and the aperture only went down to f/3.6 at that focal length - but I was trying, goddamnit!
