The horizontally orientated image has been taken at ground level. In the background is a beautiful blue sky with white puffy clouds, and snow capped, treed mountains. In the foreground a Palomino horse lays flat on the ground, his four feet pointing towards the camera. Behind the Palomino, three additional horses can be seen: peeking out from behind the palomino’s shoulder can be seen the top of the head of a white horse, also laying down; a dark brown horse lays in sternal recumbency; a chestnut horse stands guard over the sleeping horses. The horses appear to be in a sandy paddock, and a wooden fence is in the distance behind the horses. The image conjure up feelings of comfortable and natural living for horses.
