kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 05/10/2026I'm sure it would be fine driving under a spiders web of rebar and loose concrete and dodging all the debris on the floor... Some people have no critical thinking skills don't they? 120
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 03/10/2026They already have plenty of experience of their vehicles being in the water... 🫠 050
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 02/10/2026Melbourne really missed a trick during the COVID years... The Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne was right there guys! 000
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 01/10/2026nottinghamhiddenhistoryteam.wordpress.com/2026/10/01/g... I forgot Goosey was in slab square in 2020/1! 000
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 01/10/2026Concrete monstrosity once voted the "ugliest building in Nottingham" and alter to 1970 town planning be gone. 😍 020
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 01/10/2026Although the traffic is having an effect on people's habits, cycling to the gym yesterday I saw more people cycling out of town than I've ever seen before! Interesting that even with all the congestion it's causing the overwhelming opinion seems to be it's worth it to get rid of the Arndale! 110
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 27/09/2026Like, is it still a roundabout once this has been done to it? The amount of effort we put into not building our motor roads properly, like how is this a good design for anyone? 120
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 26/09/2026Not as insane as Formula 1 (on mobile) where you can see either the points or the driver but not both! 250
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 26/09/2026Although I think Amazon might find it difficult to operate such a service from our local distribution centre - being right next to the runway of the counties 2nd busiest cargo airport! The drone of cargo plans lining up for final approach to EMA every evening is annoying enough! 000
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 22/09/2026All to demolish that most 1970s idea of a motor normative future - a monstrosity of a concrete multi-story car park! 100
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 22/09/2026Funny you should say that - we've currently got roadworks and construction going on in Nottingham City Centre - both pedestrians and cyclists are shafted by them. The absolute state of this, no signals at all on the cycleway - and both it and the footway are littered with signs and scaffolding! 110
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 22/09/2026Given the Derby A38 junctions project costs have jumped > 200% in that time I wouldn't be surprised if those two roundabouts alone now have more funding than the NCN! 110
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 22/09/2026The road signs around Preston (in the county which contains the geographic centres of the UK, GB, and GB Mainland) know where they both are... The SOUTH! 😂 020
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 15/09/2026Gotta love it when within the same local authority on the same road different generations of scheme side by side don't even look the same.... (Most of the rest of this street is black asphalt stepped lanes). 020
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 15/09/2026Closer to home, When walking or cycling on the shared path at Nottinghams Crown Island the state of the fences is really reassuring..... 130
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 15/09/2026Might as well extend the tram to Stratford too... 🤣 Which form of public transport do you want to use? Yes. Although, if the Boats start serving the station climate change will have turned out to be even more severe than we imagined! 000
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 15/09/2026Can we have one delay repay site please? Don't use some operators that often so have to keep recreating accounts... (Aside from EMR who is my most used operator and also a complete shit show) 020
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 13/09/2026These are equally problematic, of course most people only notice the one in the foreground... 100
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 11/09/2026Bridge to the Trent Nav?! Some serious flooding needed for that! Should connect to a pedestrianised County Road* to the heart of the Trent Sports Quarter. * Cattle Market Road going straight to almost Lady Bay bridge has long been a city council ambition 110
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 11/09/202625 years, a ¼ of a century ago, thousands of miles away, but watching the events of that day unfold are still one of the most vivid memories I have. 000
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 11/09/2026When running a retro livery it's probably a good idea to double check all the sponsors of the original one. Running a livery based on one which originally carried the name of Osama Bin Laden's father over a race weekend which starts on Sept 11 is a, erm, choice. 😬 www.instagram.com/reel/DdHTI8b... 010
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 09/09/2026That underbounding that's been holding our city back was supposed to be getting fixed... Alas it's been "paused" 🫠 I live outside the city, yet it's quicker to walk to Nottingham railway station than either of our towns high schools 🙄. Make it make sense. 030
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 09/09/2026When the Nightingale Hospital signage is still up in our Capital City it's a pretty poor show! The venue which hosted it (ExCeL) has hosted 6 seasons of motor races since it ceased to be one, and there signs are taken down within days every time. 110
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 07/09/2026Of course the hot takes start immediately with Labour being seen as backing down to Reform challenges 🫠 Throwing any MP or Cllr that's tried to defend/support it under the bus too. 010
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 07/09/2026"This column has been cut down for safety reasons and will be programmed for replacement in due course" Not "will be replaced in due course" but might one day added to the to-do list? 🫠 Notts County Council really don't care about anyone outside a car so they? 031

kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 04/09/2026I see the new DLR trains are to resume testing! Five years of going to London for the Formula E with disruption to the DLR every year except the first to test these... Now that's moved on from the ExCeL they are still testing 😬 000
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 29/08/2026Not just me that's been bugged by the walking and cycling times to Old Market Square both being 30 minutes then! 000

kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 28/08/2026Absolutely absurd that it took Nottingham railway station 16 (SIXTEEN) years from development to get some seating on the concourse! Still nowhere near enough kind. 121
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 28/08/2026Who needs Dutch style roundabouts when you could have this doozey? Yeah you are seeing that right, a roundabout with two cycle lanes on the left, one a turn lane and one get flattened by motorists lane, with the motorist lane on the right. 121
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 28/08/2026The evolution in design is, erm, interesting, getting less visually distinct each time, but actually less bad to use. 000
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 28/08/2026although the less said about the design of the bus stops on this route the better 100
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 28/08/2026I find these work surprisingly well for keeping motorists out of the cycle lane... Odd how a kerb (even if it has less of an upstand than most dropped kerbs) and the visual of a solid white line and solid grey kerb line seems to work. (Still never feels comfortable using them mind!) 100
kevjs1982.uk @kevjs1982.uk · 28/08/2026That lack of capitalisation even extends to the real-time displays around the city - grrr 020
