Now this is the kind of merchandise I went to Japan for

Three different empty bottles of ZONe Energy drink with Umamusume colaboration artworks on the packaging. From left to right: Buena Vista, Admire Groove, Still in Love

If a respawn point is placed right after an item set / makes you skip an item set you are banned from making CTs.

If I use a bullet bill mid-shortcut and it goes backwards you are banned from making CTs.

If you make an incredibly wide road and make the bullet bill take the center line on a tight turn you are banned from making CTs

Rewatching an anime so I can mark down the locations to visit when I'm there in a few months time...

Forgot to mention they all use AI generated images too. Absolute hellhole.

It's ridiculous to see ads for anti-vax, anti-5G and pro China propaganda on Twitter. I block the accounts and it just shows up again the next day. Do they really think I'll interact with the ad after I block the account?

These are my favorite photos from last year's trip to Japan. Near Uji, Kyoto.

A photo showing Daikichiyama observation deck, overlooking Uji and the sunset sky.

Why do we need to consolidate everything to a single space? Especially a space (discord server) owned and controlled by a company of a game. We're already in situation where people only use 5 different sites. Make your own spaces if you disagree with corporate is how I see it.

000

KevinVG207 @kevinvg.com · 07/03/2026

If people want a community where they can speak other languages so bad, make your own Discord server community with likeminded/similar language people instead of demanding a company of an *English* language game to support it. Isn't this what Discord is for?

100

KevinVG207 @kevinvg.com · 07/03/2026

I don't understand the constant demanding for the Discord server of an English version of a game to allow messages in other languages, even though the English requirement is a rule you must agree to when using the server. The term "global" is never used, it's always been English.

I think I'll really start blocking anyone who posts "wife" under an uma tweet.

Some time ago Discord introduced this stupid notification right above the text field. I have dismissed it so many times now. I purposefully disabled notifications years ago and am always on Do Not Disturb. Stop bothering me every few days! What even is the point?

A box above Discord's text field saying "Your push notifications are off. Turn on notifications."

I can't believe it's been only a month since my trip to Japan. It was wonderful and I can't wait to to again in the future. Here's a familiar sight for those who play a certain game.

Photo of Fuchu Station, from an angle that's similar to a common background in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.

I cannot understand why anyone would rush out a fanTL with an obvious mistake, one that makes a sentence make no sense, other than clout chasing... Please just take some time to double check and not put incorrect words in someone's mouth. (Even a fictional one.) I'm tired

000

KevinVG207 @kevinvg.com · 14/12/2025

Seeing people posting blatant misinformation, getting called out immediately and apologizing for their mistake in a reply and then NOT deleting the original post really grinds my gears.

Can all uma rp accounts go away thank you. Dunno if this is a hot take but regardless I'm going to start muting all of them I come across. Maybe an opinion that should go on a priv account but I don't have one. No offense, just not a fan of the vibe of most of them I see.

Ask yourself this: Do you want this to be the future of your anime watching experience, forever? If your answer is no, then act on it! If you are a journalist or anyone with a platform, talk about this! If you know such people, urge them to do so! Use my article as base! Now, before it's too late!

Important update: I have received word from insiders that Crunchyroll executives have deemed the user backlash to be small enough that their subtitle enshittification & OOONA plans will NOT be cancelled, only delayed. I have added an update to the article. There's a summary at the top now too.

Banish all companies with software that places a desktop shortcut every time the software gets updated. Either I already said no, or I purposefully removed it. Go away.

I'm genuinely confused by this. Is this a thing for a decent percentage of people?

Game suggestion by anonymous Umamusume player: "Please give us the option for 60 FPS in the game. Myself, and I assume plenty of other people, suffer from nausea when playing the games at 30 FPS for more than 10 minutes.

I've sank hundreds of hours and dollars into the game, but at this point I struggle to be able to play on PC and I'm not much of a phone/tablet player."

My response:
"Is Gen Z cooked or what is going on?
I've never heard anyone say this before
Plenty of games in the past I've played have been 30fps
plenty of your netflix shows are 24fps
Anime is even lower generally"

010

KevinVG207 @kevinvg.com · 04/10/2025

I don't get people who act like a 30fps limit for a (primarily for mobile designed) game is the end of the world

Concerning how I've now seen multiple instances of people using 𝓰*𝓷 𝓪𝓲 for answers to very niche tech issues (including issues with OSS software that a handful of people are using) and it obviously spouts nonsense and then believing it.

I just don't want these instances to gain public traction. They tend to be conveyed in such a way that also just emits the context and people who see the complaints get the wrong idea.

000

KevinVG207 @kevinvg.com · 29/06/2025

Really funny to see someone go "um ackshually that's wrong ☝️🤓" but it's clear they don't get the context and don't understand why it's done that way. Dunning-Kruger strikes again.
