The state of it. Convenient morality-dodging position on supporting animal abuse on the grounds of being in "the starving class". Of course poverty can reduce our agency. But to the surprise of literally no one, they then state what they'd do if they *could* afford it. "Good faith" indeed. 🙄

Three posts. First: bad faith comparing veganism with evangelical Christianity. Second post states anger with vegans at "pushing their lifestyle" on the starving class. Third post says these vegans are acting in bad faith, with ulterior motives.

Separate post, replying to a reply to the previous posts. Somebody said they eat fish. In this post, she says if she could afford it, she would buy it "all the damn time." Because she loves fish. Therefore, poverty is not in fact preventing her from ethics, but actually from enjoying her preferred flavour of systemic animal abuse.

Saw an advert on telly for a charity that helps captured, exploited bears. The selling point of the ad was the sounds the mother and cub made when they were separated. If that breaks your heart enough to donate, you'll be pleased to know you can do the same for dairy cows by not buying milk.
