The activist base in Iowa is generally to the left of the state party and the DNC/DCCC. Doors will still be knocked, calls will still be made, but this will disappoint a lot of people. And blunt enthusiasm. And depress turnout. Turek and Sand could win in spite of this ploy, but not because of it.
